Managing Asbestos – Finding out if you have a problem – is there asbestos in the building ?

Astech Environmental Services Limited can assist with this problem by carrying out an asbestos survey of your premises to identify and determine the extent of the material and associated hazards. The survey findings are presented as a written report with photographic evidence.

The proposed amendments to the H.S.E document, The control of asbestos at work regulations (CAWR) includes a duty to manage. This places a duty on all employers to take reasonable steps to determine the location and condition of materials likely to contain asbestos and to produce a written record including risk assessments and a management plan. This plan must then be implemented in order to protect persons working within their building against the possibility of exposure to asbestos dust.
